it begins

Celebrated Kelsey's 25th Birthday last night; and she was off to SFO-Portland-Amsterdam-Kilimanjaro this morning. By 11AM our PST Kelsey should be arriving at Kilimanjaro airport. She will be met by our friend Susan. They will stay locally and travel the 3hours to the children's village Monday morning. BTW 11AM PST will be 10PM local for her.

The Dream....

Visiting Africa has always been a dream of mine. This past year the desire to visit Africa weighed heavy on my heart. The question of, "if not now, when?" was something that I couldn't ignore. I am taking a leap of faith and trusting that this is the time. I am leaving for Tanzania, Africa on January 30th (my 25th birthday) to volunteer at the Children's Village for 6 weeks. My hope is to use this as a tool to stay in contact with you my friends and family who have shown me amazing support as I live out this dream.
